My mac is a PowerBook G4 with a few years on it, and I take it places that are sometimes unwise for its safety security or nature-wise. Is there a way to just directly copy whatever is needed to make a bootable backup to an external hard drive? I'm tired of trying various software and waiting hours to discover that it froze at some point. I've tried Carbon Copy Cloner, but it freezes when it is trying to copy the User Profiles everytime. This is stupid, because everyone always says "to back up your mac", but I only copy my iTunes and Photo Library folders because I don't know how to back up the entire thing.
